Why another Film Blog?

 Reasons for Yet Another Film Blog

Who?

I'm a self-styled, self-proclaimed 'film nerd'. Starting from when I was maybe 10 years old to now, which is a bit over 50 years later. 

What?

The for is a blog. I've made it a blog for now since it's free and easy to do. I've done it before and 

Why?

In those 50+ years, I've accumulated movie-related experiences that are jammed up inside my head. Now I wish to relieve the pressure and write some down. Just for myself. If anyone wishes to read about them now or in the future, fine. But it's not the primary goal.

When? Where? 

Here (currently in Urbana, IL, USA). Now (starting late July 2023), and however long I feel like it. 

How?

My opinions, observations and reflections are probably not all that unique, but that's not the point. I have a repository of stuff in my head about movies, and I wish to chronicle them. 

please, please, don't let me be a 'influencer'.

There is no monetary goal (now not anyway), nor any desire to have a following or (G-- help me) be an 'influencer.' There are things I need to write out.

This is not a 'movie review' site, and I feel no obligation to chime in on whatever is on any screen at the moment. Maybe I will, maybe I won't. There will certainly be no star ratings, no thumbs up/down, no fresh or rotten.
